Default 99-00 si header on 92-95 eg

Hi,

I would like to buy an ebay header and almost all the sellers have a cheap header for 99-00 SI b16 series , but they do not specify if it fits on 92-95 eg civics with b16 motors.I think that it fits on the block but maybe not up to the cat. Thanks in advance.

The header will work fine. However, the cat may need some modifying if the header is too long/short.

Nothing an exhaust shop couldn't handle.

It will clear the oil pan.. unless you have a 1.8L block or an aftermarket oilpan that's a bit lower than the stock oil pan.

Looks like a really cheap header, but whatever...

Yes, it will fit.

It'll fit perfect. You may have to push the cat up a tad bit.

if u have d series cat converter.it will be 2 inch short for b series header down pipe to bolt on. u either use b series cat converter or bring it to a muffler shop to have them cut and weld for u. i have been through this a lot and have seen and taught too many people been through this too
i think u will know better of what i am talking about when u bolt on the b series header and then go from there.

the pic shown below is just 94~01 integra. see the down pipe length differnces and flange angles?

I bought a Strup Header off of eBay for the same application and it fit perfectly, so perfect that it bolted straight up to the cat. I lucked out.

So the header should pass fine under the oil pan wich is fine.I have a sport cat from tenzoR and i don't know how the header will fit,but hey i can modify the header to fit the cat, that's not a big problem.

Thanks guys for the help,i will order it as soon as the buyer will answer me.

If the header is a true direct bolt-on for the 99-00 Civic Si THEN IT WILL BE A DIRECT FIT FOR AN EG WITH A B16A SWAP provided you also currently have a stock B16A exhaust manifold and stock EG catalytic convertor.

How do I know this?

I have interchanged the 99-00 Si convertor with the DX/Si 92-95 Civic convertors on many occasions, and my wife's 1992 Si hatch had a B16A2 swap with a 99-00 Civic Si DC 4-2-1 header and stock 99-00 Si convertor, with a cat-back Tanabe exhaust made for the stock 92-95 DX/Si hatch - 100% bolt-on!!!
