A little tribute to my old Civic EX Good bye Violet! (56K warning)
So tomorrow im signing over the title of my first car, 95 Civic EX Coupe which I purchased on February 27th 2006 from a dealer around my house. It was purchased completely stock with 105,000 miles for $4500. It was my first car.
Her name was Violet.
Picture from the day i picked her up

Picture once she got home

I immediately went on to throw on some Ground Control coilovers on my stock shocks (bad idea but i was young and wild)

Once lowered i put on my buddies 96 GSR wheels and looked like this in the spring of 2006

Went on and did a 2.25 inch piping catback to a Magnaflow Muffler. Along with that i added a new dent on my hood from sliding under a pickup who slammed on his brakes when a cop ran a red light.

So then i finally got a job and began working on fixing the damaged body parts of my car (hood, fender, and back bumper) I bought all of them from a replacement parts store (non OEM) and got them painted without getting blended. Big disappointment. And this is how it looked during the summer of 2006

August 11th 2006, So i had ordered some Rota's and Kumho AST tires and today I had enough money to go get them mounted and balanced. Not to mention the next day was Honda Day 06' in Englishtown RacewayPark. That day i mounted on the Rota's and gave my car a complete wax. I also slammed my Ground Controls all the way down and realized i had a blown shock. And next thing you know that night while i was doing some silly driving I hit the divider on the highway when i lost control on a turn thanks to the blown shocks.
And this is how it looked

So i went on and bought a Replacement parts Front bumper (non OEM) and took it to a shop to pull out the slight damage on the rad. support. By now i had acquired a third shade of Horizon Gray.
I changed my suspension to Tokico blue HP shocks and Skunk2 Coilover sleeves.

Not much changed through fall and winter of 06 as i continued buying sneakers.

And then came spring of 07 along with no name 4-2-1 Header and AEM short ram intake. I also decided to repaint my wheels with wheel paint.

Once Summer 07 hit I had replaced the shitty Kumho's with Falken Azenis and my beat up OEM lip with a WWRS replica. And out that miserable high school parking lot went Violet and I. She suffered a couple of dings during this time

So before you knew it, Summer of 07 was ending and i had added on an air duct thanks to jbs.

Fall of 07 brought along some Integra GSR Fat five wheels with Falken Ziex tires, JDM headlights and Corners,

And so the car stayed looking the same until today, the last day it will be with me
Feb. 12th 2008.

And to replace Violet. I have Apple waiting in the garage aka "La Otra". I drove 2hrs 15 mins to Connecticut to see her. And once i saw her i fell in love. She is a 97 Civic DX Hatchback with 142,000 miles and One owner. Garage kept and will remain that way. Her paint is in pretty awesome condition, but i will be taking her to the body shop as soon as my wallet allows it to fix some dings on the pass door and replace the front bumper with a new OEM Honda one since there is a small crack. Pretty awkward staring at a big Temperature gauge instead of RPM's, so once i got home the day i drove her back i purchased an AMBER SiR cluster from JDMTheory

Second car was $4200. Both cars were purchased in prestine condition. I know it was alot, but when you live in NJ it is hard finding cars that are in good condition. Considering how clean my car was when i purchased it i am not ashamed of what i paid. First car had been registered in Texas and had no signs of rust anywhere (a big thumbsup)
