Paint stripping
Have a maroon ef8 that has a bumper completely painted. I want to strip the paint off to show the black plastic underneath. Do I just use goof off? What do you recommend?
What do you think this is, drive through autobody advice? Your bumper has been abraded and painted, so its not going to return to a perfect, uniform color, texture and smooth surface. If its old, its also probably got the chips and pits from rocks, ect. Your best bet is to find a color you like, flat/satin black or gray whatever, then sand it and repaint it. That way it will be uniform and not discolored and beat up. If you feel the need, you can go down to the raw plastic but you have to prep and paint it accordingly.

just use common sense, if they sell those to remove stuff on top of paint(like decal, glue, tar) do you think it will remove the paint too?
