that has been added by someone at some time, for what? who knows, boost/vac. gauge maybe. if that line is open as it is in the picture then yes it will cause your idle to bounce (vac. leak)

well i checked my bank account and it seems im pretty much broke til tomorrow
so i decide to try a little home remedy on the vaccum hose so i took the hose off got a roll of elcectrical tape pulled the hose off and taped the 2 ends together started the car and it seemd to be idling just perfect then as i decided to take it around the block to check it out the idle droped to about 100rpms i reved it a little and it just slowy droped back down to 100 so i took off the hose removed the tape and put the extra line back in now when i start the car the rpms go up to about 11 or 1200rpms then it settles down a bit but it stil bounces when driving
anything else i shud check before i buy a new hose?

It looks like someone added it for some other purpose, vac gauge, etc., like someone else mentioned. First thing you need to do is determine if it's an extra that someone spliced in or if its factory and needs to be plugged back in. Replacing that hose does nothing, you can't have an open vacuum hose, that's why your idle is erratic.

your telling me thigs i already know 1 ive already established the hose was added by one of the previous onwers
2 i didnt replace the open line causing the leak im not an idiot
i replaced the stock hose thus getting rid of the leak in doing so it caused the idle to drop to 100 rpms
what i need to know now is if the iacv needs to be replaced
and if theres anything else to check before i do so because i looked up the price of the iacv and i dont want to waste 100 and not fix the problem

Didn't mean to offend you, I was just wondering why you would put the extra open line back in to fix a problem that occurred while it was in, especially if you know you shouldn't have an open vacuum line. Anyway, maybe this will help you figure this out. The first two are vacuum connection diagrams so you can inspect the rest of your vacuum lines and make sure that another hose isn't the problem. The second is the troubleshooting page from the service manual so you can figure out if your IACV is bad.

ok so i guess we kind of misunderstood eachother but its a little frustrating when no one wants to ansewer your post and theres 150 views
let me try and re-explain my self when i swapped the hose with the new one idle droped to 100 stays there when driving but if you let it sit it will go up to maybe 400 but as soon as you take off idle drops back down it runs better with the hose that creates the leak so i put it back on cause i need my car to get to work also discoved a few more problems where the upper rad. hose connects to the rad. is half *** broken so when the car gets hot it steams up a bit and i loose almost all the fluid in the resivior 2 theres a small leak comming from the fuel rail cant really explain it ill post pics tomorrow
but thanks for the pix hope they help

that cant happen. if it was near 100 rpm, the engine will stall flat on its face. the line about the zero mark and below the 1000 rpm mark is 500 rpm. that is a little low but, you can adjust the screw on the throttle body, clean the IACV, and check your ignition timing. make sure its stock timing before messing with the screw on the throttle body, it may help ur idle out.

I hate idling problem... It can be so many things. I had a problem similar to yours and just sold the car. Took it to the shop asked arround and was never able to fix it. I also had an extra hose opened and couldn't figure out where it would go. My car ran fine but it just idled a little funky.

yes. loosen it to raise the idle, tighten it to lower the idle... once u play with that, check your ignition timing as that can change based on where idle is set.
