I'm in the market for a new OEM hardtop. I did some searching on here and s2ki and could only pull up some older outdated links. Do any of you know what a current GOOD price is for an OEM hardtop?

I called up Hardtopguy and he gave me a price, but it was more expensive than I expected. I will most likely go his route anyway since he's very reputable, but I want to save the most money I can. I'm not interested in used or non-OEM, or OEM minus liner/glass/etc.

EDIT: I'm currently NOT in Manila like my location says. I'm in Central NJ, and I will have the hardtop shipped (unless there happens to be a new one for a good price within driving distance of me, which I highly doubt).

lol so you browse like that too, huh. I found out that spelling it in the two different ways sometimes yeilds different results as well.

They're like $2600-2800 on ebay, usually. direct from dealers.

 

I believe hardtop guy sells his for $2800. Not sure about the shipping. You can usually find used ones on s2ki for $2000-$2300.

 

FWIW, I bought an OEM hardtop from hardtopguy about 4 years ago, for my AP1. He drove it all the way out from Ohio to me in NY, and installed it. He's a great guy to deal with, I would deff buy from him again.

 

Thanks for the replies. I haven't checked Ebay, because I haven't had an account in over 7 or 8 years. I never started again because of the constant worry that I'll be a "new user." Oh well, maybe I'll take a look.

Papasmurf, Hardtopguy is shipping to my home for $2975. Not bad, but I wanted to see if I could find anything cheaper. He mentioned that Honda had raised their hardtop prices recently and it's most likely the cheapest I'll find.

I'll probably get it from him in the end, but it doesn't hurt to "browse".

Shipping from coast to coast is like $300-500 for something of that size. Plus there's insurance you may want to put on it as well.

Looks like I'm gonna go ahead and get it for $2975. Woohoo! I can't wait. At least it comes with all the parts I need.

Im not a 100% sure but i believe HONDA has discontinued the Hardtop for the S2000. I called and asked for one for a 02 and they said its been discontinued i then said look for an 05 and he said discontinued. Doesnt mean that you cant get one from the NEW CR but i have no idea if it even bolts up the same way. So if anyone has info about this please let us know.

 

^ All the hardtops are the same, it's all about the hardware kit you get. And if you have one without the defroster you have to buy that setup if you want the defroster to work on the hardtop.

 

I know i have one. The thing i was trying to state was ( the hardtop has been discontinued for all regular production vehicles except for the CR) so will the one from the CR work? Even though they have a tonneau cover and no soft top HONDA may have chosen a different option to mount it where the early edition and regular production cars couldnt use it casue of some funky install piece needed. So i was wondering if anyone has looked into it adn knows any info on that?

I have a Sebring Silver S2000 hardtop for sale. Here is some info I put together..

Mint Condition w/hardware, Albany, NY
I've sold my s2000, so the hardtop must go. I am listing this locally because shipping is expensive ($400?!). I live in the capital district - Albany/Saratoga NY region. If you live within driving distance, you can come here and I'll help you install it in my garage and you can "wear" it home, or... just bring a truck!

I believe it will fit 2002-2006, possibly other models, not sure. I have a 2002/ Hardware is included and the top is in MINT condition - no scratches in paint, fresh wax, just one very small nick in the plastic surround - not noticeable!

Also included:
-Custom ceiling hoist setup (one person job to install it!)
-Honda shin etsu grease (needed to keep top from squeaking).
-I also have short shifter ****, and I'll include it if I can find my oem one, or if you want to swap yours for it!

Comes in original shipping box.
