I just pruchased a 07 Civic but they gave me a remote that needs to be set up. can somebody help me with some programing instructions to make this remote work with my civic. HELP!

I NEED PROGRAMING INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE KEYLESS ENTRY REMOTE. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP.

 

It shouldn't need any programming.

 

THE CAR ONLY CAME WITH ONE KEY AND NO REMOTES. I bought this car from a used car dealer. They found a remote for a civic but needs to be set up.

 

call a Honda dealer. I thought that the 06+ all had the keyless entry built in to the key, maybe I'm wrong.

They did...maybe he got the valet key??

They gave him a eg remote lol and was like look its honda what else do you want?

Yea but I think the key should already have the keyless entry remote built in, mine does

Is it a Sony? Ive been looking for the damn VCR remote for about 3 weeks.

 

Well bad news broham...first off, the keyless entry and immobilizer transponder is built into the keyfob. Secondly, the key has to be programmed at Honda using the HDS tablet. If they gave you a seperate keyless remote..you are SOL sir.

Did you go to one of those dumpy corner lots with a storage shed for the offices and torn banners that say "We pay top dollar for you automobile"?
That would be your first problem right there.

I wouldn't have even responded after this!

 

You have to bring your car to honda, we have to have a key cut, then we have to program the key so that it will work with your imobilizer otherwise your key will not start the car. Then we have to program the remote, I am a tech at honda.
