The name says it all...*phantom* grip. Meaning it doesn't exist or you can't see it most of the time.

Get an JDM ITR LSD or a quaife. An LSD is nothing to cheap out on, especially since it isn't an easy bolt-on.

That's so true. Pulling the tranny out of one of these cars can be a full days job.

2 people can do this and 1 being not tech savvy and the other tech savvy should only take a couple of people to pull out the tranny in 2-3 hrs.

OP:
OBX is junk don't even look at that chinese crap. Look at a real LSD (like cusco or quaife) or go with the ITR LSD as mentioned if you don't want to shell out 1k. Like they said LSD is nothing you want to be cheap on.

You get quicker and quicker the more you do it. Me and a friend were able to do our last clutch install in 3.5 hours. The obx when modified has been proven to with stand punishment. One reputable member on CRSX making high hp numbers uses it and loves it. Although I would personally go with Quaife but an obx is a cheap, good alternative if modified properly: http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread.php?t=520556

yeah it does get quicker and quicker but unfortunately for me when i get my quaife lsd and Competition clutch i have to pull tranny, put LSD and clutch in myself but oh well it's gotta get done somehow. Not going to have any help.. so it'll take me some time but lucky me i'll have all tools, a lift and everything at my dispose.

i think OBX is one of those russian rulet type of deals.. You'll get a good one then you wont. I don't like playing that game especially when it comes to car parts and money.

Oh dam you should find someone to give you a hand. I dont think I could ever get the trans case on while expanding the snap ring on myself ever. Regarding the LSD I agree with you but the OBX has to be modded to be made reliable.

How much does the OBX actually save over the quaife? Seriously, is $300 really worth it, especially for such a vital part?

People crack me up...spend all that coin on the car then cheap out on the LSD.

About 500 bucks cheaper....I dont own an OBX LSD but my tranny lasts only 3k miles anyways so I wouldnt mind trying one.
