Default tranny replacement?

anyone have a thread on a d-series tranny replacement? i know its pretty straight foward but im more concered on the shift linkages? thnx guys

Got your PM.

Get the FSM like I suggested and look at the instructions.

Basically, here's what's involved:

1) Drain trans fluid
2) Remove axles
3) Remove starter and peripherals (clutch cable, reverse sensor, VSS, etc.)
4) Unbolt trans
5) Drop trans

Of course, it's much more complicated than that when you actually do it.

If this is your first time, plan on it taking at least a full day of your time. Get a transmission jack and somebody to help you.
