Default grinding noise (when accelerating)

Ok guys I'm stumped. I got a full gsr swap in my 00 si and there's a noise is coming from the power steering, ac compressor area. When I am accelerating I hear a grinding noise as if something were going out. I figured maybe my power steering pump was taking a sh*t so I took off the belt to see if the noise would go away. Well it continued so I figured my ac compressor was going out. The thing is when I turn on the ac nothing happens. It works perfectly and no noise comes from the compressor.

What I am wondering is if maybe the pully is causing the noise or am I looking in the wrong area. My friend told me that when the power steering pump and ac compressor are going out that they make similar noises to the one I am describing.

Any input in appreciated and thanks in advance guys

probably your tranny.
have you checked the level?
i had a friend who eventually had a grind in every honda he owned while i knew him, one day he's changing his transmission fluid at my house and he was using the drain hole as the fill hole.

had run every honda he ever owned with a nearly try tranny......

I was thinking it might be my tranny to but I have no visible leaks (garage floor is super clean). Also I hear the noise coming more from the driver side near the ac compressor.

I ended up taking the ac compressor belt off and changing my oil to see if there was any difference. The noise seemed to be gone but the car is still a bit loud. I am currently running a velocity stack and know when doing so the car is a bit louder at idle. I also did a valve adjustment just to make sure I was not hearing loose valves.

Tomorrow I'm going to flush my tranny and add new honda oem manual transmission fluid (always use honda fluid). The tranny was swapped out about a year ago. Since then I have changed the fluid about 3 times. Anymore more insight is greatly appreciated.

Anymore ideas guys. I drove the car today in the morning since the weather was nice and it seems as though the grinding noise went away.

The one thing that scares me is that the tranny felt slugglish and at one point felt as if it didn't want to shift. What are some signs of a tranny going out.

i was not able to change my tranny oil yesterday due to the weather. Going to do it today when i get out of school.

Anymore insight guys?

P.s. Also going to change my alternator. I think the bearing inside of it is whats making a noise also.
