f22a to h22a swap question
Swapping an h22a into my 92 f22a1 prelude. WIll swapping out the brake master cylinder be a need or something some brembo blanks and good pads can cope with? THe only other mods will be a intake, exhaust and s300 tuned. I am not looking to do 80mph brake stomps or anything of that nature. Just want to be sure everything holds up.
If you're asking if you need to upgrade your master cylinder to handle upgraded brakes...
No, you don't need to upgrade the master cylinder. In fact that's not even something often seen upgraded at all...usually they're just replaced if old or worn out. The things you need to be concerned about when getting bigger/better calipers/pads/rotors is...replacing the rubber brake lines with braided lines, using the minimum allowed wheel size in accordance with rotor/caliper size.
I'm not completely sure if there's a difference between the 92-96 non-vtec MC, and the 92-96 vtec MC...I know the brakes on the vtec are better, but I'd imagine the MC is the same all around.
I'm actually in the process of swapping an h22a, p13 ecu, and vtec sub-harness into my '93 Si...that's all that's being changed apart from some aftermarket bolt ons
(intake, exhaust, etc) and maybe some cams.
Hope I answered your question though, I'm an Integra guy getting into the Prelude world so I'm still learning as well. Good luck with the build.

the Vtec master cyl has a 1" bore as opposed to a 15/16" bore on the S and Si. This will give you a slightly stiffer pedal, but for your situation, just upgrade pads and rotors and you should be good.
