Default K20A2 swap into EK

Hey guys i have a 1997 honda civic ex and i also have a partially burnt 2006 rsx type s with a k20a2 i have been reading alot about the k20 swap into the ek and i would rather do that than fix the rsx...there is no engine damage just body, interior and wire damage...i would really like to no which parts i could use off the rsx...i have a complete brand new interior and all the body parts to fix the acura its jus i live in on Grand Bahama island an its the only 06 acura here so i cant find a crashed acura very easily to use the wiring harness off of...what do you guys think????

try to source an unmodified engine harness off ebay or the dealership. even if you pay a lot for it, you're still making out on a cheap k-series. you could part out the body panels from the rsx to help cover the cost.

i would part out the RSX for all its worth, minus the engine and tranny, and use the money to get untouched wiring and mounts etc to do the swap in your civic.

Agreed. An unmodifided, or unbroken harness is the way to go. Other have completely rebuilt their harness, but they have a lot of time on their hands. When your done with your swap, something will probably be wrong because you missed 1 16 gauge wire.....good luck tearing it all down and finding it.

I would contact Rywire or Hybrid Racing. They have the best customer service hand down.

well my budget to put this k20 in the civic is almost 23 grand...i jus wanna no which parts on rsx i could use in the civic i no i can use the rsx suspension on the civic...how bout interior parts??? i want a really nice interior and i love the rsx interior...money isnt an issue at all so i didnt really plan on selling any of the parts jus was gonna see what i could use on my civic

There really isn't all that much you can use from the rsx into the civic. It will still all have to be custom.

I think it would be cool to fix the rsx since its the only one around there.
