2 CEL codes & a puddle of fuel...
recently i put a jdm sohc f22b in my 94 accord lx 5spd, after some cam issues, rocker arm assembly issues and head issues i did a usdm head swap from an f22b2. a good tune up and she's lovely.
fast foward 2 weeks later. this morning i come outside because i hear noises and i see something dripping from my undercarriage. i think its oil but i can smell its fuel. a puddle of fuel running down the driveway, i pop the hood and i see a puddle lying on top of the Intake mani as well.
i'm running the usdm IM, fuel rail and injectors and after i got the car running nicely i upgraded to 93 octane pump gas. my question is. since this is a all motor setup with a decently modded trans (ACT clutch, ACT PP, Fidanza flywheel) . should i back down to 87 octane until later on or upgrade my injectors & put a fuel pump in. (stock injectors 235cc)
the reason i suggest the fuel pump is because i'm catching 2 CEL codes, 8 and 43. 8 is TDC position sensor which i can fix easily and i'm pretty certain that the 43 is for my bad o2 sensor. but that 43 doubles as a fuel error (pump/filter/etc)

does the car still run ? is it still getting fuel to the rail ?
ive seen this same thing happen before with a bad seal to the injectors, but that was when modifying the injestor seals for DSMs. where the seals you used new ?
since its puddling on top of the im, id check all seals on the fuel rail and its components (pressure reg, fuel line to rail, etc) . did you replace the fuel filter when you did the rest of the swap ?

the octane difference will only increase your mileage per gallon.
i wish it was this easy but unfortunitly no major performance gain will be felt.
Good luck...again

still runs yes, i ran it hard after spraying down the bay...running to 6k each shift. no leaks . and yes i changed the fuel filter. but no. i didnt change those injector seals. i think i have some in the trunk though so i'll check it out.

ha ha, the upgrade to a higher octane is a simple road test, to see if the motor responds more positively to it.
thanks though
