Default Stolen 97 Type R near CHICAGO

My baby is gone

I woke up to my dad telling my car was gone

They busted into the garage in the middle of the night. A neighbor saw it open and called us in the morning. I can believe it's gone.

Totally stock 1997 - High miles, but was always good to me.
Front bumber was repainted my previous owner and the black is flaking off
Driver side Type R decal is damaged.
both Side and back windows are tinted.
Antenna motor recently broke, so it's stuck up.

Stupid thieves!!!!

Keep your eyes open. It was taken from the south side. Such a horrible feeling! I've never driven anything that came close to a R.

*deep sigh*

Sorry to hear about your R. After so many recent stories of stolen Rs out of driveways - that one time the owner didn't/couldn't use the garage - here's one that was taken from a closed garage. It all sucks. I'm so sick of the cesspool of lowlife that affiliates with Hondas. The rightful owners of these cars, the real Honda enthusiasts who are hard working and honest don't deserve this.

Damn, sorry for the loss.

I'm assuming your garage wasn't attached, my visit to Chicago kind of tells me that, most of the houses I saw the garages went like... house/then back yard/then the garage on the other side of the yard.

Yeah, it was a separate garage.

No word yet from the police. I fear the worst.

Right. Detached garages are along the alleys that run along the rear of the houses. That's just the way things are built around here; in a lot of towns, they don't allow driveways in front of houses.

Thanks. I had hoped to finally go to a track or do a AutoX this year. At least I didn't spend big money on the upgrades I had planned.

Man I am so sory to hear about this. R's seem to be disapearing lef and right. It sucks even more that they got into the garge and got it. I would think that it would be safe in there, but i guess its safe no where.

I hope it works out for you in some way.

The garage isn't very close to the house and the alarm probably wasn't the best. It came with the car and was installed by the original owner. I should have purchased a paging alarm or something better. I didn't think it would ever happen in our neighborhood. I had a little over 3 years with her. Enjoyed every moment.

Still no word from the police. They didn't really investigate the crime screen or seem to care much for that matter
