i got a 1st gen crx, just swaped a DOHC d16a1 from a integra n just went turbo. as of right now im only pushing 4psi but i think i got sum sort of vacuum leak becouse then it drops down to 1-2 psi
unless if its my map sensor??
but i was wondering how much do those motors handle? wat would u say is safe?? the turbo is a lil small, just a bit bigger than the one off a gst eclipse.
n is there any D-series rods that are stronger than the rest, that i can slide into my motor??? along with pistons??? rather than having to purchase somthing expensive like eagle rods.

DOHC ZC rods were always known as the strongest rods. You can also do a race prep to the rod. It's something done in road race classes that keeping stock components is required. You basically just remove the casting line, deburr the shoulder area, then have the rods shotpeened. Overall it's a cheap simple process that'll strengthen the rod significantly.
