in my d16z6 swap ef my idle surges up and down up and down.....is that a bad idle air control valve? or is it something different

 

 

 

all my vac lines are not leaking/disconnected, my coolant is full and i cant figure it out

had the same prob. I ended up replacing the idle air control valve, the fuel filter, fuel pump, and ta sensor, but none fixed the loping idle between 800-1800 rpm.
I have been doing tests on the computer itself, and found it may be my wiring harness. Check your IACV for continuity and such. If this responds correctly check your wiring harness and ecu. good luck

 

thanks yea the wiring harness is fresh and a clean job was done on it by a shop in my town, the ecu is new, i just bought the ecu 2 days ago because ppl were saying that could be the problem
