92 Civic 02 sensor differences...wtf?

92 Civic 02 sensor differences...wtf?
Hey guys, if it aint one thing its another....
So I went to autozone to buy a new o2 sensor. Because I was using one from the cat of a 97 GSR that had a code 1 the whole time but it worked to drive it a for a while.
Anyways The bosch that I got from autozone the head of the sensor wont fit into the downpipe, and the wires are too short by about 3-5 inches with no slack. If it was proper it would need around 6-8 inches more.

The more expensive "universal" bosch that has wires that look the proper length is the exact same o2 sensor though.

All 4 wire o2 sensors should work right? Well I used one from my CRX with a OBD1 GSR swap and it is the same type (bunches holes at the tip of the sensor) but it was too wide to fit...WTF?
