need some help overheating

Default need some help overheating

ok so i took my car on a little drive to the beach today. well on the way there my heater hose popped, we slaped a new one on and went on our way,everything was fine untill we got to the canyon my car kept heating up when going up hill,the needle was at the half way point so wen we got on flat ground i kinda drove the car hard to see if it will heat up and got nothing if anyone know something let me know asap thanks

oh ya its a h22 motor if important

sort of sounds like a stuck thermostat to me. They can sometimes get stuck and then release. if it happens again i'd replace that.

I'm a little confused. The needle was at the halfway point when you thought it was overheating? The halfway point is what most people call "operating temperature".

usally its between half and cold it was raising up to half and a little higher it wasnt overheating then cause i was catching it and turning the heater on and it would drop i honestley think its the thermo so im gona change that out 2morrow not too many other things so

good call for 10 bucks or less in most cases its cheap insurance!
