Hello, I have a '99 Accord EX V6 coupe.

I'd like to know if the 17" x 7" five spoke rims from an 01-02 Acura CL-S will fit as a replacement. (see pic) I believe these cars shared platforms and the same bolt pattern of 5 x 115mm so I'm confident in compatibility there.

My main concern lies with the extra .5" of rim/tire width gain in regard to rubbing the springs, etc. since I would be going from a 6.5" wide rim to a 7" wide rim. fyi tire profile would go from 205/60/R16 to 215/50/R17 as that is oem tire spec for this Acura wheel.

pretty sure they will fit, someone bought my CL type S rims from me and put them on an accord..

 

Thanks. I'm having a hard time discerning between these which came off a CL-S:

Did Acura make this style rim for both models and they're not interchangeable? I've seen these wheels on both cars and TL's have a 5x114.3mm bold pattern, while CL's have 5x115mm.

I went to a dealer and looked through the Transwheel guide with the guy there and we noticed that this rim was made for both these cars, but only one will fit my Accord, which is the CL version.

I just want to make sure I'm getting the right ones...and I'm a little confused.

Any help in clearing this up is much appreciated.

Thanks for posting that picture. The fact that these supposed CL and TL rims look the same makes me think that these two models had the same rim and thus, the same bolt pattern for 2001 - 2002(03). Do you know for sure if this is true?

Everything I thought I had figured out seems confusing now. I'm going to an Acura dealer after work today to see what I can learn. This really should be simple.

Have you tried googling

"2001 CL Bolt Pattern"

Or

"2001 TL Bolt Pattern"

That would tell you if the wheels are the same.

Thanks, but my internet searches have resulted in inconsistent information, which is why I signed up here to see if I might get someone else who had done this previously. We'll see what the Acura dealer says though.

Alright though useless in some areas, the acura parts dealer informed me that the hub for 98-02 Accord V6s is the same hub used for BOTH the 01-02 CL-S and TL-S. So same bolt pattern on all 3 cars...for anyone's future reference.

I've seen this bolt pattern rounded up to 115mm, which made me think 114.3 was different sizing.
