if you're talking about the engine bay splash guard underneath ... I prefer it on; I'm in wisconsin where it slushes and snows bad. =X It's a + for me.
Damn you got a deal, I would run a carfax report on it just in case though
make sure the miles aren't rolled or somethin like that or any major accidents.

The LX badge is optional on these cars I believe. My EX came without the badge. However, the Civic and the "H" badges are a must unless the user shaved them off.
