what do you use..
to clean the mating surface of lets say the intake manifold to the head or the head to the header. Is there anything soft enough that i could put in a drill to clean the surfaces without scratching it all up???

Degreaser, Brake cleaner, or that other stuff, whats it called carb cleaner. Anything after that needs to be sand blasted, that will take the wrinkles out of a 90 year old woman and make her barely legal again
