Default Triple HKS BOV

Happened to come across this at the Philly Auto Show, never quite saw something like this before, so I figured id throw it up for your viewing pleasure

the really odd thing was is that it said on the sheet on the window, that it was built by Jason Whitfield at Rage, and I found that setup odd for that level of a builder. Maybe he just built the motor, and someone else fabbed up the rice BOV setup

It could be a case where thats what the customer wanted too for whatever reason. I mean, hell there are doctors out there that will put **** on a man for the right price.

really ive seen jason build cars with two bov's before, 3 is a bit much, but they built a hatchback with at boosted H22 with twin bov's, and it said something like "some people might say this is not needed, but this is how we builed'em" it was in HCI IIRC...

I've only seen 2 bovs on supras with very high Hp ,my cousin had two hks ssqvs on his 95 rx7 and blew both of them sh*ts right off the charge pipe when he was on the dyno.

even then i dont think its needed, ive seen racecars run just 1 tial bov...

You have a great memory, I still have that issue it was an h22 powered eg and it made 750 whp with boost and nitrous. I believe the article mentioned that it needed something like this because one wasn't able to vent enough gas.

why 3 I have no idea..

I bet those are Ebay SSQV's.. I had installed an Ebay one before and they barely work at all with tons of surging....lol It's one of those "good ideas" to run three Ebay SSQV's since you can literally get 3 or 4 of them for the price of a genuine HKS SSQV
