lol,

They are using with diesel cars, LMAO 99% of diesel cars have a "WATER IN FUEL" light, and if thats on, YOUR NOT SUPPOSE TO START IT. hahahahaha thats horrible. I looked at the video and he basically set up a straw in a jar to bubble water off of a vac line.

Does anyone remember the line "There are no stupid people just stupid questions" well, this makes me believe there ARE stupid people.

I'm really interested in finding out how the use of "Brown's gas" (hehe) is going to make the combustion "rounder" in my reciprocating engine.

Here's how I see it. This whole hydrogen thing promises MUCH improved mileage due to a more complete combustion. If we look at pre-cat hydrocarbons in the exhaust, they might be at around 100-300ppm. Although this IS significant from an environmental viewpoint, it is negligible if you are looking at it from the standpoint of utilizing this small amount in order to extract more energy. This means that the completeness of combustion is pretty close to 100% as-is. And you are certainly not going to improve on efficiency by much if you can reach 100% completeness (which cannot be achieved in ANY way).

It looks like they tried to make a six stroke engine but failed.

its called HHO gas "Hydrogen Hydrogen Oxygen" it does work, look on youtube for HHO videos its pretty potent stuff...

I actually made some pvc tubes with plates in them to make the hho gas, you can basicly put these plates in a solution of de-mineralized water and a little bit of baking soda and put 12volts to it or more, it draws a anywhere from a couple amps to 20-30 amps depending on how far the plates are apart from each other and if you take a match and light the bubbles they pop very very loud.

I must say the idea's a little far fetched, although before anyone gives the guy any flack about posting such a silly article I suggust you guys RTFM a bit since its possible, its just not very feasable yet..

either way youtube HHO videos, its pretty interesting and amazing... but take what i say with a grain of salt and do your own research. I however find it very interesting

Here's a brain-busting concept: conservation of energy. Energy cannot be created or destroyed. So these bullshit machines typically work one of two ways. They (a) require a separate alternator that creates the electrolyzing current or (b) simply run off the car battery. The first method is complete bullshit because the cycle of energy is completely fucked:

1-Chemical energy (gasoline) is converted into kinetic energy (through combustion)
2-The kinetic energy is converted into electrical energy (alternator)
3-The electrical energy is converted back into chemical energy (HHO gas)
4-The chemical energy is converted back into kinetic energy (through combustion)

Obviously this entire cycle is bullshit, and actually loses energy since there are loads of thermal losses during every conversion process.

The other method, as mentioned in this thread (electrolyzing device runs straight off of battery) is also bullshit. It follows the same crap cycle above. Here's a stupid question: why must we convert chemical energy into kinetic energy into electrical energy back into chemical energy back into kinetic energy???? Does that make sense to anyone? Here's a brain-busting concept: if you have enough energy at the battery/alternator to drive your electrolyzing device, it simply means you were previously wasting energy at the alternator.

I've said this many times before: this whole HHO gas scam is merely an incredibly inefficient system of reclaiming wasted power. The crackpots who designed these things obviously didn't go to college, because a REAL engineer will locate the source of the problem (wasted energy) and solve it at the source (more efficient alternator).

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Legion &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Also, the wild claims behind HHO gas are about as rational as the doctrines of Scientology. "They" claim that by electrolyzing water with a plasma arc (as opposed to simple electrical current), the hydrogen/oxygen atoms somehow polarize and reform magical molecules that share magical non-covalent bonding. BULLSHIT. "Brown's Gas" my ***. It's just hydrogen and oxygen folks. No magic. Fill a glass with water and throw a 9v battery in it. See the bubbles coming off the terminals? There's your mystical "HHO" gas. The bubbles on the (+) terminal are pure diatomic oxygen and the bubbles on the (-) terminal are pure diatomic hydrogen. Catch the bubbles in a balloon and put the balloon over a flame - the now mixed HHO gas inside will combust and revert back into water. That's 9TH GRADE science.</TD></TR></TABLE>

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Legion &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Also, the claims of instant increased MPG are also bogus. Free hydrogen does increase combustion efficiency, so theoretically you could run leaner. But you'd have to re-tune your car to see those gains. Obviously your ECU isn't aware of the hydrogen being introduced into the cylinders. And how much leaner do you expect you can run anyway? You can already get away with 16:1 AFRs during cruising.</TD></TR></TABLE>

no i understand that,
i was refering to the other person ripping on you "legion" either way, i wouldnt think you would get any thing but flames when you asked a question like that most people dont have anything better to do when replying to a post of such a interesting topic such as yours.

so they have to take time to school people like yourself to make them feel better or think they get honda-tech brownie points or some $hit like that...

people are stupid.
