Default FUEL PRESSURE HELP!!!

I actually have a prob with my fuel as well. I got a ls vtec with stock ls block with a b16 head. I have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator silver in color no idea of the brand. I had to buy the guage separate. Its the one that goes on top of the fuel filter. For some reason I can't get the pressure to go pass 30psi. I was told that's pretty low. My car doesn't smoke or over heat. It just feel like it needs more??? I have a stock p28 which I want to chip out after I get the car running better. I tried putting in a chipped computer and I felt no difference.

Have you tried to adjust the two screws on the top of the adj. fuel pressure regulator? If it won't adjust try replacing it with a stock FPR and see what happens. It could be that the no name universal FPR isn't working. The stock Fule pressure is usually between 31 to 38psi with the vacuum hose attached and 40-47 without it.

As for your chipped ECU you probably won't feel any difference if you just throw any old chipped ECU in there. Any ECU that you get that has been chipped should be tuned on a dyno for your car in order to see any real difference. Always make sure if your going to run a chipped ECU that you budget for a dyno session. A properly tuned ECU can make a big difference in how long your engine lasts. And of course how much power you get out of it.
