Default does a bigger intake mani mean better or not really?

i decided to throw on this OBX intake mani that ive had laying around forever.. car is turbo , stock block. d16a6 . ported head etc... i had a 94 z6 mani with and LS tb on it and i took that off and put this obx one on.. which took much modification but its on and runnin.. but without a dyno i dont know if it did me and good at all.. it is considerably larger ( ports runners and chamber ) but i dont know if that always means better or not.. anyone have an opinion? i may just end up putting my OEM a6 mani and TB on.. not sure yet..

i mean it will allow the air to get threw there easier because of the extra space. I would deffinitly think it will be better but inorder to make a good gain you would want to retune it
