Default B18B or not?

I have a 92 EG Hatch Si, and I'm debating on whether or not to swap a b18b into it. If I do I plan on running it N/a for the first of summer than slap a turbo on it and running low boost once I save up for a good kit. The swaps seem pretty cheap around 1400 give or take, is it worth getting or is it just as good to find a local b18a1 at a junk yard or wherever. Or am I better off with something else? I don't need crazy amounts of power, I don't have any major goals for the spring, I just want a little more under my foot when I lean on it, compared to my d16z6. And I have done searching on the site and I couldn't find any topics relating to my questions. Thanks in advance. -Ronnie

Where are you located? Here in CA they go for about 800-1k used with around 90k+ mileage.

It's a fairly simple swap. Im in the middle of doing one right now into my other EJ1. I was just looking for a little more power when I drive my daily commute and it was a very reasonable choice. If you get the B18b1 you should have no problems passing BAR if you are in CA since they are 94-95.

The B18b/b1 is a great choice
