Definitely not! Please do not try this, for your will have a lot more problems than simple overspray.

Ok first off.. A paper towel?? Are you serious? Door jambs, maybe. If the overspray is on a panel, use a clay bar. If it's in a door jamb, use lacquer thinner. Compound would work, but it seems like over kill. I was more pointing to the fact that he suggested using a paper towel.

guy the rubbing compound is more aggressive and abbrasive than the paper towel what expletives it up is the dirt on the surface hence why i said make sure its clean...first choice rubbing compound, and since i dont use clay bars my second choice would be 1000-2000 wet sandpaper then buff it out with compound to bring back the shine (but compound, i am 99.9998% sure itll work), I know your probably gonna really trip ***** now but I dont think you understand what you can and cant do with paint...and I hope your not serious about the lacquer thinner either bc that would if anything cause more problems than overspray unless your trying to take the clear and good paint off along with the overspray

Look man, I was just trying to help this guy out with his overspray and give him a little heads up on your interesting "advice". YES, your advice WILL work, but it is OVERKILL. I do this for a living everyday, so take it or leave it.
