Default Need some guidance for Turbo manifold

My little brother has been tigging for a couple of years now and he wants to start practicing on fabbing up some manifolds. He wants to make one for his sr20det motor, but i told him to make a b-series Ramhorn first, just due to that i have an extra crap head/block he can fabricate on, easier to access and appears to be a fairly simple design to start off with.

My question is, how much material does it take to make a ramhorn design.

From what i can see:

12-14 90 degree elbows
Maybe 2 45 degree elbows
1 straight pipe
1 Head flange
1 turbo flange
1 wastegate flange
1 collector

On the collector bmc offers 3 inch or 4 inch in height, which ones are mostly used for the Ramhorn design?

If im missing anything let me know, or if i have to little or to much of something.

I thought i saw a list on here once, but couldnt find it in the search.

Thanks!

i Just calculated the amount of materials and it looks to be around $200-$250, im sourcing these from ace-stainless and bmcrace.

Is that what you guys average around at?

Ive been welding for awhile too. Yet, I just attempted my first manifold.
Lesson I learned. DONT BE LAZY TO CLEAN AND CLEAN more!! before welding. LOL.

But overall, it came out GREAT! Just attemp some welds on some elbows etc. Then weld away! Don't be afraid, as long as you got an idea what your dealing with.

Start with the SR20 manifold!
