I have a oil leak in my car...i put 2 quarts in the engine...i checked the dipstick today and its well about half way above the two holes....im sure this isn't good for the engine should i drain out?

what you're going to want to do it change your oil again and refill it to the proper mark. If you put too much oil in, it can do harm just as putting too little oil in can. you could potentially flood your head with oil, causing it to get whipped into a froth, and that is bad for business.

 

You can just pull the drain plug and then put it back in after about a quart comes out. Just give it a few minutes to drain out of the head before you start the car again.

drain the oil out of your car and refill with exactly 4 quarts of oil

 

Thanks a lot, i drained and refilled with 4 quarts...i appreciate the help...prob saved me a head gasket.
