Default Would you use these for a B18C1 build-up??

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWD1V

I saw this full gasket kit with rings included for a b series. This come with every gasket/seal that is needed for my fresh rebuild. The price is right just dont wanna use something that will give me problems in the future.

This is my setup:

95 b18c1
ctr pistons (either stock bore or .5 over)
acl bearings
balanced
si industries valves/springs/retainers
s2s2's
hytech tri-y

Any comments and/or suggestions that will help me from ppl WHO HAVE BUILT A MOTOR FROM GROUND UP will be appreciated, this is my first "rebuild".

Im tryin to reach 200whp btw.

Look in the all motor dyno thread or use the search function for 200+whp builds. You definately won't have any trouble finding information on that subject. I have build one from the ground up and have my build posted in here https://honda-tech.com/zero...ge=12.

what gasket kit are you talking about? You don't show an image or a link or anything.
What brand and part # is it?

Well the good thing about the ACL's is that they're tri-metal like GSR. Bad thing is that one size doesn't always fit all. I mean, if the clearances are within spec then halleluya, but I'd be a little picky with the main and rod bearings.
Also. ARP rod bolts would be good. As well as ARP head studs for a GSR.
IMO The CTR piston is a bit much for a DD but whatever. I didn't see any rings in the add tho. On a side note. My buddy has told me several times that Nippon sells a kit just like the one you showed us but it includes b16 pistons and rings for 200 some odd dollars. I've personally never seen it tho.
That kit does look good tho. Just remember to get the kit that matches the block not the head or your gonna have some oil leaks.

Uhh, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you won't make peak power past 8.4K with those cams.

nope, but you'll have good midrange, wait the 9,000 rpm VTAK is what wins races seriously though check all your clearances and clay the motor with those pistons, head, and cams. if you really like your peak power that high check out the jun 3's

hey mar778c check your pms i dont think they are popping up

that lil set actually doesnt look that bad...the acl afre 80 bucks easy alone...it bring nippon rings which arent horrible...and then has most major seals and a headgasket...i prefer oem bearings but if clearances permit nothing wrong with acl's..90% of bearing failure isnt bearing failure its user failure...not cheacking ur clearances and what not...all in all its not a bad lil set...even if u dont use the headgasket lets say...ur still getting the acl's nippon rings and alot of seals...for 112 bucks thats not bad

Yea, maybe Ill just get it for the seals/gaskets and use an oem headgasket and think twice about using the acl's I guess

no reason to second guess the acl's...they are great bearings if clearance permits...just check ur clearance and if u are ok then use em...no reason not too
