You can use anything from a manual boost controller to a NLR unit.
What ever suites your needs. You could also consider selling the s100 and buying s300 to use the factory ecu & a boost solenoid for boost control

the boost option allows the ecu to see past 0vac into the boost columns only. the s100 does not have the capacity to control boost like the s300 w/ boost control option.

you may be able to use the outputs to control a staged boost controller like the ITS or the txs quad stage, i may be wrong on that though.

The s100 unit works with boost & non-boosted cars. There is no "boost option" for s100.

The s300 unit works with everything, however you can add ecu hardware & a boost solenoid to control boost via high/low or gear based etc.

If you don't need anything fancy, get your self a simple manual boost controller & call it done.

Few people need anything fancy.

I've seen boost per gear setups net as little as .2 in the 1/4 on a car that was running 10.6's off a two stage MBC. I've also seen boost by gear setups make a night and day difference, but only in a bigger power setup. It really depends on the car and the driver.

The average enthusiast tends to get a lot more satisfaction out of the boost by gear setups. You can clobber the gas pedal and row the shifter without worrying a lot about traction, and still be fast.
