Default Previous owner waxed and messed up the paint

On the hood, mostly; the previous owner waxed the car before they used any kind of paint cleaner or claybar. It filled all the little tiny scratches in and now it looks really really bad. Will paint cleaner/claybar clean all this up?

waxing didnt mess anything up. the car needs to be properly polished. claybar will only remove contaminants.

Yes, a cleaner should get them out with a good wash. Are you trying to fix the scratches or just wanting to keep them unnoticed?

Do you mean wax in the crows feet on the hood?? If so, use a pressure washer at a conservative distance. Be very careful though.

Well what im seeing is the wax that is now inside the scratches. It looks like a white spiderweb all of my hood and on some of the fenders. I basically just want to strip everything down and start from scratch. I am thinking a wash and then the 3 step system from mequires.

Wash with dish soap and it will remove all wax and polish.
