another p28 ecu question. Auto or Manual
92-5 ECUs (P28, P30, P61, P72, P91, P08)
5spd = 000, 001, 002, 003, A00, A01, A02, C00, C01, C02, J00, J01, J02, G00, G01
Auto = J50, J51, 901, 902, C50, C51, C52, A50, A51, A52, L50, L51, G51

Auto = J50, J51, 901, 902, C50, C51, C52, A50, A51, A52, L50, L51, G51
L = cali-spec emissions (A=49-state spec)
0 = manual trans (5=auto)
0 = first revision of circuit board (1,2,3 = later versions)
the revision of the board doesn't really mean a lot unless you're looking to modify the hardware of the board.
RP18 in a manual trans car has a zero ohm resistor in place, this tends to confuse peope who don't know how to read it.
RP17 is a better location to use. nothing = manual trans, resistor in place = auto.

depends on what you mean by better.
Generally speaking cali-spec ECUs have cleaner emissions due to the stricter cali laws.
If you want to get general fewer emissions = less power. But not always.
It all depends on what the honda tuners did to produce less tailpipe emissions.
