Hey guys. I have a 1998 Accord LX Manual inline 4, 4 door and i just broke 200k anyway, i noticed about a month ago that when I first start up the car and start driving, whenever I would press the gas, it would struggle to get some power and even start stuttering... like it would struggle to rev up and would actually lose power (the rev would drop) and the car starts jerking. I would then put it back on neutral and try again revving it harder. after about two minutes it would stop and car is fine. one thing to note is that for the last oil change, i added too much oil. then the problem started happening so i emptied all the oil and put in just enough. now, two weeks later, the problem is starting to happen again.

any ideas? i changed the spark plugs too. btw, the check engine light came on and it said fuel was too thin or something.... so i'm thinking it has something to do w/ me adding too much engine oil but i already changed it...??? is there some kind of detergent that i can buy that'll clean the inside of my engine to make sure there's no more excess oil?? or maybe its something totally unrelated....

hey. thanks for the reply. we did try to change the fuel filter but they don't make replaceabale fuel filters for the 1998 accord. what's the tjr? also the sea fpam? is that sea foam?
