Spec Stage 2+ clutch- unusually stiff pedal feel?
I bought a Stage 2+ Spec clutch and had it installed, and the clutch pedal is STIFF! Even more so than my old Proactive clutch
I had no idea it would be that hard. Will it break in and soften up some, or will it always be like this?

Mine was actually lighter than the factory pedal. Something isn't right. You need to first check all you pedal and cable linkage parts. Check the routing on the cable and make sure it doesn't have a bunch of tight bends in it. One of my customers cars had the clutch cable clamped pretty tight to the fuel rail and other parts and it was constricting the cable.
I've asked the shop about the cable tension, they checked it and say it doesn't make a difference. Then it hit me- esp. after reading people's responses that their experience with the Spec clutch is that it feels about the same as stock- would having a cable-actuated clutch instead of a hydraulic clutch make the difference? I have the Hasport hydraulic-to-cable conversion on my Type R. Because I don't have the extra hydraulic force, could that be a factor in making the clutch pedal hard to push to the floor?

I have a spec stage 3 unsprung disc in mine, and a competition clutch pressure plate, holding 375whp. But when i went in to Spec to get the clutch (yes they are local for me) i told them what setup that i was looking to run. They tried to convince me to run their pressure plate, which is very very stiff i have heard from others, as my pressure plate is 1800lbs of pressure (measured by them) and they said that their plates are arond the 2800-3200lb pressure.
Maybe you got a similar pressure plate to what they were trying to sell me.
