Default Acceleration Problem

Hey everybody i'm having trouble with my automatic civic 95 ex and hoping you guy on honda-tech can help me. Ok, when i press on the gas pedal while driving it go to 30 mph and it rev really high to 5000 rpm then my car will start slowing down for awhile and then speed will kick back in. This happen every time while driving. Most of the time the car well rev high and it won't even go above 30 mph.

Yeah i think it might be the transmission too, that i got it free from my cousin friend's. I don't even know why they got it out from the car in the first place. OH yeah and the engine was put back together since the last owner blew up the block and i broke the ex transmission case. I'm using a lot of different parts: a d16y7 block, bought a different d16z6 head, and a 95 dx tranny . I have no check engine light at all, the engine start up fine and run but will not speed up.

well the tranny transfers power from the drivetrain to the ground. if the motor was built together properly, which i assume was, get the tranny checked

It's most likely the trans slipping out of gear or the clutch pack is worn to ****.

Either way - it's time for a trans rebuild from the sound of things.
