Some birds from a VMFA squadron were in for service a few years ago at NADEP. A sailor gave me a jar of "canopy polish" that they use to clean F/A-18 canopies. I put that on my windows and windshield and the water just beads off of it like water off a duck. Just driving is enough to blow the water off. I rarely have to use wipers...usually just to clean off dirt/bugs/bird doo-doo.

I'm assuming those windshield treatments like rain-x, etc. will do the same thing.

Im going to go see if my motors and wiring are still intact now.
Those lightning fast reflexes as you hit that wiper switch really saved you from
driving totally blind
Better to have something than nothing in this case.. Forget about the weight, im all in favor of wipers now. Driving blind at that speed in traffic??? Wheeeeew

the get back from that race and matts like 'man im glad i put brand new blades on before i left the house.' we had to go back to the video cause he fliped the wipers on so fast he thought they were on before the mud hit the glass. it wasnt actually that fast but pritty rang fast none the less.
