Default ECM code proceedure?

Hi guys, I have a 85 CRX Si with the 1.5 and need to know the procedure for looking up the ECM codes.. I'm getting a red PGM-FI light on the dash, but when the key is turned to ON the ECM unit (the box under the passenger seat) just has a single solid red light, not blinking. Is there something else I have to do to force it to give me the blink code? Is there a way to do the jumper override like in the newer models to force the light to blink on the dash instead?

I tried disconnecting the battery for a day and it still just shows a solid red light after running the engine for a few minutes. I looked in the FAQ and the page that explains it appears to be gone...

does not blink. there are 4 led lights on the computer, depending on which one or a combo of which ones equal the code. check redpepperracing.com they should have the tech manuals on the site.
