I have a white 95 Accord. Most of the replacement parts come with a black primer job. I was wondering if White goes well on top of black primer? Need advice from experienced painters.

 

If your using products from a professional auto paint system, just use a white sealer or a tint-able sealer, tinted with white toner before the base. Use a black or checkered spray-out card to ensure you have full color coverage before you clear. If your not really familiar with painting and color matching using a spray-out card will help to confirm you have full coverage and a good color match. With sealer you should have full coverage in 3-4 base coats if your color covers decently. Also make sure to use a flex agent if its available and make sure you choose the correct color variant that best matches your adjacent panels, fenders/hood.

If your using spray cans, just try to mimic these steps the best you can.

Why would you want to use a flex agent? Especially if its a part that is fixed like a fender and such, its a waste of material. Plus, I don't really believe in flex agents. Most flex agents will keep a part flexible for 90days...or around there, in my experience.

 

Why would you assume I meant parts other than bumpers?

It's very clear he is talking about replacement parts, not fixing a fender.

Bumpers are a common replaced part. Most Honda bumpers, OEM and aftermarket come in a black primed finish. I should have mentioned" if painting bumpers " or " if applicable" its pretty obvious flex agents are only meant to be used on flexible parts like bumpers. I agree that todays urethane enamel paints are very flexible and its definitely not an absolute must when using quality paint. But its still good advise.
