Wastegate used as a bov

I know I've seen this on here, and in some photos in magazines, but I can't seem to find any more info about it. Maybe someone has some memory of this too, or better searching skills cause I can't find it. I'm not looking to personally run a wastegate as a bov on my intercooler piping, just trying to find out more of the uses and reasons for them by those who do on turbo cars (vs. supercharged cars, which I've already found info on)

Interested as well...

Someone can correct me if i am wrong, but i think its used as a method of launch control / traction control.

Don't know the specifics but i have an idea. Seems to me people are hush hush about it, then again... maybe no one ever asked

I believe that's correct. It's used as boost control from the charge pipe side.
