Default simple question regarding spark plugs.

I just got my NGK iridium ix and NGK spark plug wires for d16y8 stock 96 honda civic, questions is do I need to gap the spark plugs? I heard ppl said it is pre-gapped. Do i just install it like it is or I have to gap it myself? thanks.

even if they were, its always good to go back and double check it. its simple to do that.

I don't think I've ever had to gap NGK plugs, but I always check.

With the Iridiums they're supposed to come pre-gapped cuz because of the greater chance of breaking the narrown tip. Anywhere between .042 and .044 is fine for stock.
