What the crap could do this??
My roommate came home this evening from class and was PISSED. He is 90% sure it happened while he was at class today. He parked in the road last night, but we live on a dead end peaceful road with only a couple houses past ours. Plus would have seen it while walking out to his car anyways. Only other place he parked was on campus, he also backed into his spot. Only this he could really think of is some car with a brush guard or jeep with some funky metal bumper or something? anyone have any clue at all?
kinda shitty pics, it was dark by the time he got home, and anyone that lives around here knows we got a wicked rainstorm too. Dunno if I can get better pics of it as its going to the body shop first thing in the morning (perks of friends owning shops lol)

Also by the way the metal bends... it seems to have been forced out, not in. Either he ran something over and it owned his fender or someone clipped it for no reason. Isn't that a Neon? who bothers to waste time hacking on a neon.

My first thought was a TL Type-S also. The rims are pretty similar. It looks like an A on the center cap but it is very hard to see. I think it is Type-S rims on like a civic or something. The caliper doesn't look nice, like a Type-S caliper would.

that's a shot of the rear, the rear TL calipers aren't beefy like the fronts.

Yea I know that, but aren't they black...or at least shiny? The calipers on whatever the car is, are that dull gray finish, that appears after the original finish wears off. I would think that the nice finish on a Type-S would take a while to wear off.

So someone with a big *** cutter decided to have a little fun and tested on the fender?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Yeah haha. Notice anyone with chainsaws lurking outside? Does look like a chainsaw could have done this.
Also I am nearly positive he didn't run anything over. That wouldn't cave in his quarter like it did. It looks like someone had a gripe and cut the wheel well lip and kicked in the quarter. The dent looks almost identical to when I got pissed at my ex-girlfriend and kicked a huge dent in her door.

Yes it is a TL-S, Carbon Bronze Pearl in color
He said he's positive he didn't run anything over that could have caused that. You would DEF be able to hear that happen lol.
The car is actually under a business acct, so the insurance deductible i'm assuming isn't even coming out of his pocket.
The lot his car was parked in has cameras in it, so he contacted campus police to try and sit with them and review the tapes. His car was only one other place, the night before, which also has cameras in the lot. So hopefully for him he can get an answer and/or a plate number.
I've never seen a cut like that caused by a car before, just seems really odd. As you can see in the pics it tears outward. Thats the only reason why it looks like intentional vandalism. I know he has no enemies of any sort. It could be tho someone targeting the car itself out of jealousy or something of the sort. But the school does have a lot of nice cars around, as its a good private business/law school. Hopefully we'll get a definitive answer out of it soon.

something backed into it, caught it and pulled it out (causing the rip)
See the scratches on the bottom when it went INTO the car

and the TOP of the paint has "slices like a comb"it pulled straight out/away
no paint would flake, chip with lines like that
sucks because that part will be about 2k to fix/paint.
