Need a mechanic in central FL area for advice!
I've had this clicking/grinding sound on my car for about 6 months now. The guy in thread link below seems to have the same problem.
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2164609
Mine occurs mostly when turning right with throttle applied. If I'm completely off the gas, but in gear.. No sound. Also recently started happening when driving straight and giving the car throttle.
I've had this problem checked out by two different mechanics. One said wheel bearings, the other said definitely not wheel bearings don't waste your money. Second mechanic put the car on a lift and allowed the wheels to spin freely w/ motor running.. no sound.
I've replaced my driver side axle (the sound seems to be coming from Driver side).
I really want to fix this problem, are there any mechanics in the area that could help me finally diagnose this problem? Thanks!

doesn't sound like the wheel bearing to me. you would always hear the sound regardless if you're accelerating or not and it would sound like some reallllllly loud tires.

What about the passenger side axle? Everything you mentioned sounds like an axle to me unless you have baseball cards in your spokes.
OH, and about the grinding sound. My R started making that sound turning right after installing my MF10's. After further investigation, the car is lowered just enough and with my taller tires it is rubbing the drivers side fender liner, where it covers the what I think is the A/C receiver. (there is a hump in the liner) Jack it up and check that.. you shouldn't have to measure anything.

During this test, did this mechanic compress the suspension? If not, doing that isn't going to tell you too much.

Colin, I really think the clicking and grinding sounds are 2 different issues. With your lowered like it is I am betting that you are rubbing the front drivers fender liner.
Dave_B Jr and Sr FTW.

im haveing the same problom. I was told wheel bearing, I thought it may have been the dust shield rubbing so I removed it and it still makes the noise. The spindle moves a lot so Im assuming it is the wheel bearing but not sure. Im new to rebuilding so hopefully I can figure this out. It sounds like my tire is going to fall off. sh*tttttt

I'm pretty sure it's not rubbing. It was even making these sounds on stock suspension, and I have no wear on my fender liners. Actually it was louder and I had loud clunking sounds. After lowering it to the current ride height the loud clunking went away. Though I do have some very faint squeaking sounds coming from the front lol. My car is a big mess =/ And the funny thing about it is all this crap started when I took off my NZ's and sold them to you!!!!!!!!
