Stick with OBD1 or go with OBD2?
I'm buying an OBD2 b18b for my OBD1 EG to swap in and was wondering if I should use a harness to use an obd2 ecu or just get a chipped/stock ecu for the obd1 b18b motor?
I want to use an obd1 ecu but not sure how it would all work out besides a simple plug and play.
btw.. the motor is from a 1999 integra ls going into a 1994 civic coupe

to stay OBD1 you r gonna need to get an OBD1 dizzy and sensors.....depending on the current motor in your ride, u can swap sensor to the ls motor.......also u will be able to use your stock civic engine harness.....other than that an OBD1 ls ecu is needed...

to stay OBD1 you r gonna need to get an OBD1 dizzy and sensors.....depending on the current motor in your ride, u can swap sensor to the ls motor.......also u will be able to use your stock civic engine harness.....other than that an OBD1 ls ecu is needed...
yeah as long as the motor is USDM use the harness it comes with, if not you'll have to swap over the plugs from your OBD1 distributor over to the B18's, along with the injector plugs and alternator plug.

Not true. The OBDII distributer will work just fine with an OBDI ECU. The same goes for most of the sensors. Then again, there are sensors that just aren't used with OBDI (like the crankshaft speed fluctuation sensor).
