which is a better idea?
ok i have a few options. i could A) get a carbon fiber hatch. this would be what i really wanna do but i dont htink i have that kind of money. B) carbon fiber hood. i wouldnt mind this, but some people say that the hood doesnt weigh enough to justify getting a CF hood. C) i could get a skunk2 IM. which would yeild best results? i can feel the slightest difference in weight, like i just recently took my sub and amp out and i i could just feel like take off faster. so weight reduction is a big deal to me. but then again the IM would also make me take off a little quicker. but exactly how much does it add?
Personally, I would probably go for the IM and then get the ECU. (I am assuming you already have a full exhaust system, header and catback.) After that I would get a couple hours of dyno tune time. I think those things will have the biggest impact to your cars performance for the dollar. Then again I could just tell you to boost it.
In the end I would do what YOU really want to do, its your car and it should be how YOU want it. Just my $.02

skip all 3
1. IMO unpainted carbon fiber looks ricey as hell
2. getting a skunk2 mani without suppiorting mods is pointless
3. if anything, as stated prior, SAVE FOR BOOST

i have supporting mods for the IM, i wouldnt consider it is i didnt, but im not going for looks with the carbon fiber, im going for weight reduction (even though i do think that carbon fiber looks badass) but you guys still think the IM is the way to go?
how heavy was that subwoofer box for you to notice better acceleration?
For the same amount of money you will be spending on a carbon fiber hood/hatch, Forced induction will yield better gains. Save your money and forget about the weight reduction thing for now...unless you have everything you need to make the most hp off of your engine and are getting great 1/4 mile times already, cf is rice.

Option A is a waste because the heaviest part is the glass.
Option B money could be better spent elsewhere.
Option C - Not worth it, and wouldn't you need another intake as well so thats more money spent.

-Don't get the hood unless you are really that obsessed with the looks.
-The rear of your car is light enough, so don't make it any lighter w/o reducing weight in the front. but if you do get the plastic glass to reduce weight even further.
-If you get the IM consdering getting a better TB as well and maybe port your head for better breathing.

Truth! The heaviest part of the hatch is the glass. You would feel a difference between the cf hood and the oem hood. If you have the supporting mods for the IM get that, and if you want weight reduction for cheap then remove your sound deadening material.

dont get the hood. They are a son of a bitch to maintain. I have to use 3M marine polish almost every 6 weeks to keep mine from getting dull. Im already looking for a replacement stock hood so i can sell the CF one. GL!
