CR-V cluster in 96-00 Civic?
Hey Guys!
So after browsing a recent thread about identifying a cluster, Rock_Star posted a picture of a CR-V cluster. My question is, does this CR-V cluster bolt into a 96-00 Civic akin to a 99-00 Si cluster?

The Si cluster is already amber. This is for people who cant afford the SI cluster and want amber lighting and a tach.

I believe the OP has a '97 LX. Recently his odometer stopped working. He didn't mention having another cluster in that car, so I assume the cluster is stock.
When he mentioned the '99-'00 Si cluster in his first post, he wasn't saying he has one, he's saying "Will the CR-V cluster fit in a Civic just like how a '99-'00 Civic Si cluster would fit in?" (That means, will ti fit in with no modification and install just like how you would install an Si cluster.)
The answer is yes, the gauge cluster will install like ANY stock Civic cluster would. Everything plugs into the back like a stock Civic cluster.
And not everyone likes or wants an Si cluster. The CR-V clusters, if anything, are MORE difficult to find than the Si clusters. Si clusters and manual CR-V clusters go for about the same amount. Usually $100-150.
I don't like the Si cluster because I drive an EX (not an Si)... I don't need a bright red ricey [/b]Si[/b] badge staring back at me every time I check my speed, fuel, etc. Not to mention, lots of other clusters come with tachometers.
I prefer the CR-V cluster to this:

Exactly right, thank you very much for your words of support and explanation. And I agree entirely about the Si cluster (since I drive a LX haha!), that's why I was asking about this one. Thanks!

It's probably because people want to be different and everybody and their brother has the Si cluster.

'97-'01 in the US. The generation actually began in '96 elsewhere though.
