Please help me find a place to buy the front forks of my bike
Hello all, I'm new to the motorcycle side of H-T & I would like your help in finding a place that sells the front forks of my bike for cheap (or even better a repair shop that carries them & that can install them). I don't have a Honda bike so please bare with me, I have a 91 Kawasaki ninja 500 & a few years back (5 if i remember correctly) the bike was crashed & the front forks were bent in the accident, so my assumption is to replace them. Now, I went to Chaparral in San Bernardino & they quoted me 994.90 or so for the parts & to me that sounds more money than what I xpected. I know its not a Honda bike but can you please help?
***a little more history to the bike***The bike had only 3000 miles when it was in the accident & it has not been driven since then..... it basically sat there for almost 5 years.... at this point I need guidence in what to do. What do I need to do to see if the engine will operate again?is it wise to just try to start it just like that? is worth it to replace the front forks since the bike was left sitting there for 5 years? Do any of you know of any shops in southern california that will be able to help me with my situation? Please help me. Thanks.

It sounds fair to me
My inverted front forks on my small 50cc (80cc) motorcycle costs aprroximately 1500 bucks brand new. Now, obviously im not gonna pay that.
Two possible suggestions
1) The inner tube isnt that expensive, so if the outer isnt all that bent out, you could get the outer fixed, and buy only the inner.
2) You could go to a junk yard or find someone that has the same front fork.
there probably are alot more ways to fix that but thats all for now.
Good luck
