have a b20b with gsr tranny. about 90k on motor.
this morning i went to start my car. forgot i left my fuel cut off switch in off position, cranked the car then realized it. turned on the fuel cut off switch and tried to start the engine, i wont crank.

why isnt it cranking?

i can only hear it click. the first time i turned the key with the fuel cut off switch off it cranked, but now it won't.

any help appreciated. thank you

 

you should check the easy stuff first like batt, fuses, relays, if any melt/burned wires maybe you blew a fuse cause you forget to turn your switch on. if it clicks, but doesn't crank sounds like a starter problem. you can get someone to bang on the starter solenoid while you are cranking it and see if it starts.

 

well i figured that i didn't blow any fuses or melt any wires. because i started it 15 mins later and it work fine. don't know what the problem is still. anyone?

 

 

did you try by-passing the fuel cut-off switch and give it a try?
