i need help. i have a 92 accord ex, the problem with it is that i'm only getting like 15 mpg or less almost all the time. and also i get this gas smell almost all the time that i floor it. i already checked for leakes but there doesn't seem to be any. does anyone have any ideas as to what it may be?????

 

When was the last time the motor had a tune up? How is tire pressure?

The o2 sensor may also be on it's way out, there are a number of things that could cause it.

My car also smells like gas whenever I refuel too, I don't know why, but it does stay for a while.

 

well i just made a tune up about a month ago. and when i take the plug out they are very black. so i need to check my o2 cause that is one thing that i haven't changed. but i also get that gas smell after i refuel but not that often.

 

you should check the fuel lines, my friend had the exact same problem and apparently these cars have a problem with the fuel lines rusting

 

hmm u know i haven't checked the fuel lines, i quess that's what's next. i'll see what i find.
