Default thermostat

can i run a my car without a thermostat? need to check to see why my car is still overheating.

its possible, but recommended... just take it out if check to see if its operable. if not, replace it...

but can i drive with it off for a while? maybe like 30 mins to and hour?, because it overheats for some sort of reason that i cant seem to figure out

If it's really cold where you are I would limit how long you drive it w/o a thermostat. Can't you just get a new one and swap it in when you take out the old one?

what im trying to figure out is why my car is overheating, ive changed my thermostat like 4 times already and i think i finally got a good one, but uhh i want to see if anything whats causing my car to overheat.

i have no idea if its the water pump or not because i replaced it about 4 months ago.
and i dont think it does have air in the system becuase i tried jacking the car up and everything alreay, not much more i can do. unless their is then let me know
