HELP CAR KEEPS GETTING HOT
i just changed my thermostat and water pump.radiator cap. but in the morning after wormed up ill drive down the street and my car will read hot. i just bleed my coolant system but didnt help.
i was thinking about just taking the thermostat off. but how will this affect my car besides taking longer to warm up. will it mess up anything.

Re: (delsolb16)
are you losing coolant? im not talking about leaks, im talking about you adding coolant to the full line, than a couple days later, it's low?
if that's the case, you my friend, have a bad headgasket.
other things you might consider is the temperature sensor and the fan switch

it wont really mess it up. as you said, it'll just take longer to warm up

Not sure what "wormed" means, but that can't be good. Do a compression test and see if it's your head gasket, if not, sounds like it might be your radiator.

oops sorry about the "wormed" but i just did a coolant flush and no i dont have to keep on adding water. but i just took out the thermostat and it runs to cold, which will mean that it will run rich. ya i dont want that. whats the lowest temp thermostat they sell.
